Research article on virtual opioid education and naloxone distribution programs, conducted with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. This research allowed us to dive deep into the literature on virtual Opioid Poisoning Education and Naloxone Distribution (OPEND) programs. Our findings highlight the potential of virtual OPEND programs to increase knowledge, decrease stigma and reduce morbidity and mortality due to opioid-related harms. These programs have the potential to be life-saving tools, particularly for populations not adequately reached by in-person OPEND interventions. The positive impact on these communities can be substantial. Read the full article here.

The International Journal of First Aid Education (IJFAE: the First Aid Journal) disseminates scholarly and field-based works to advance the knowledge and practices of first aid, educators, and curriculum designers. Published works may also assist organizations, governments, and funders to identify support networks and best practices to help inform policy, laws, and measurements surrounding first aid for the resiliency of individuals, communities, and populations.
